ADHD-Friendly Hack # 2

Another wonderful week! How are you doing so far? Today, we will focus on our ADHD-Friendly Business Hack #3 : Expanding Time Part 1.

As a mom entrepreneur with ADHD, managing your time can be a real challenge. It often feels like your day is a whirlwind, with tasks and appointments scattered everywhere and never quite falling into place. You might find yourself constantly juggling responsibilities, feeling overwhelmed, and struggling to keep up. It’s tough when your time feels so disorganized and chaotic, making it hard to see progress and achieve your goals.

Here are some tips to help you expand time and get more productive.

Prioritize Tasks

  • Start each day by listing the top 3 tasks that need to be accomplished. This prevents overwhelm and ensures progress.

  • Divide larger tasks into smaller, manageable steps.

Use Timers (This has been a lifesaver for me!)

  • Schedule an alarm for each of the three important tasks, you have chosen for the day;

  • Use the Podomoro technique( 25 minutes work, 5 minutes break) which can be effective. Adjust this to how much energy you want to spend that day. If you are sleep deprived or are feeling drained from making many decisions, switch it up to working for 10 minutes, then a break for 15.

  • Dedicate a specific time slot for each task.

  • Have a variety of pre-planned suggestions for what you can do to recharge yourself on break time. (This is something we created together at the beginning of our “Get Focused Now”, 1:1 program.)

3. Automate Routine Tasks

  • Use automating tools for repetitive tasks, such as automatic bill payments or scheduling social media posts in your business.

  • You can create templates for common emails or messages too. (We cover this thoroughly in our “Repeat Buyers, Repeat Profits” done-with-you, group program.)

4. Delegate Wisely

  • Outsource office tasks that don’t need your personal touch. (like bookkeeping or administrative work);

  • Delegate some household chores to your family which would not interfere with your planned focused working times;

  • After-school healthy snacks and suppers when you have live clients calls can be delegated to healthy frozen or pre-prepared food.
